A new 45MP full frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor delivers faster readout speeds for reduced rolling shutter distortion and better image quality with less noise compared to front-illuminated sensors.

The EOS R5 Mark II shoots RAW bursts of up to 30 frames per second with 0.5 second pre-continuous shooting, helping you capture the decisive moment in sharp focus even before you’ve pressed the button. Capture scenes from 3 or 5 seconds before recording in video.

Shoot at up to 8K 60p RAW Light video with a range of Cinema EOS level options such as Custom Picture, Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3 and proxy recording. The EOS R5 Mark II provides professional level movie capabilities to for users who require premium quality.

In-camera upscaling after shooting from JPEG or HEIF files doubles the amount of pixels vertically and horizontally to deliver images up to 179MP. This can combined with in-camera cropping to deliver higher resolution cropped images and with in-camera Neural Network Noise Reduction for images with less noise.
